The Certex branch in Tucson is home to one of the country’s best Fall Protection and Rescue Training facilities. It’s also the only purpose-built fall protection training facility between Los Angeles and Houston. Built in 2015, this state-of-the-art facility employs a full-time training staff. They are passionate and knowledgeable trainers who have in-field and industrial experience.
At our Tucson training facility, your team will participate in immersive learning with 8 hours of hand-on experience working with equipment from over 20 different manufacturers. The modern, climate-controlled environment creates ideal surroundings and every course meets or exceeds applicable ANSI Z359, OSHA Sub Part M, CSA and manufacturers requirements.
We focus our course offerings to enhance your safety culture through unbiased overview and exposure to all manufacturers equipment. We have a two-day course for fall-protection competent person (which includes equipment inspector training), an authorized user course, equipment inspector course and competent person refresher.
Proper training increases profitability and productivity for your company, and we can create courses specific to your needs. We also provide expert consulting and hazard analysis. Find out more under the Services & Training tab on our website or visit us at 6221 S. Tucson Blvd.

Serving Tucson Since 1982
Certex Tucson has become a leader in providing rigging and fall protection equipment for the Arizona mining industry. We serve clients such as Freeport McMoRan Mining, but also provide equipment and training for a variety of industries. Some of our high-profile projects include installing a 150-foot square fall protection bridge system at Pima Air and Space Museum to be used for repair and restoration of their planes. We provided pendant support assemblies for a Phoenix Municipal Art Project completed by CAID Industries. We’ve also worked with the University of Arizona Mirror Lab and the LBTO (Large Binocular Telescope Observatory.
In addition to Tucson, Certex also has a location in Phoenix. In fact, there are 35 total locations in the U.S. servicing 11 states from California to South Carolina. Certex is known for providing industries such as construction, mining, aerospace, utilities and on-shore/off-shore drilling with the equipment needed to ensure job sites and workers are safe. In addition, we are one of the few lifting product companies in the U.S. to offer Fall Protection and Rescue Training.
Lifting Products & Rigging Supplies
Are you looking for quality lifting supplies or rigging products in Arizona? We carry a variety of lifting supplies like shackles, hooks and clamps. Do you need lifting and tie down materials? We have those too.
At Certex Tuscon, you’ll find manual, electric and air hoists and winches from some of the world’s most respected manufacturers. We stock synthetic ropes, which are used frequently in the mining and electrical industries.
In addition, we can also fabricate wire rope, chain and synthetic slings. Different slings have different purposes, and again you can count on the Certex team to select the right product for your job. For example, wire rope slings, sometimes referred to as wire cable slings, are more robust and durable than nylon slings and have higher temperature limits. Wire mesh slings are used in industries where loads can be abrasive or tend to cut web slings. On the other hand, web slings will not damage or scratch the surfaces of your products being lifted.
